The difference between notice and summon

Notice can be any letter or publication for certain person or persons providing some information on which the subjects of such notice are liable to act as per the content of that notice.

Notice can be issued by the court also in cases where the court is interested for the personal appearance of any person on its own motion. However, generally summons are issued by the court of law. Summons are issued by the court of law on the request of a party.

Summons can be issued more than once for inviting any party to the court. Apart from parties to the suit, summons can be issued for the attendance of witnesses in any matter.

When summons are notices are issued by the court of law, they have the seal of court along with signatures of judge on them. For further questions related with summons, feel free to contact us at internationallawyerinfo@gmail.com
