On 26th August 2014, Justice Baqir's Report on Model Town commission report has been publicized. The report is very much expressive and impartial in nature defining the model town incident on 17th June 2014 as an incident of massive bloodshed by the Government.
The affidavits and statements of Rana Sanaullah, Shahbaz Sharif (CM Punjab) and few others are discussed in the report. Further the role of police has been discussed as negative in the report. The report is clear that the policemen followed the orders of Punjab Government. Innocent lives were lost in the result of such cruel orders.
The report states that the word "disengage" in the affidavit of Shahbaz Sharif (CM Punjab) is inserted intentionally to change the facts of case. In fact it is not apparent from the incidents that the chief minister punjab ordered the police to disengage. In fact the state machinery was actively involved in murdering the innocent men and women by using the Punjab Police.
