Is it mandatory to follow the procedure of Arbitration Council after Khula?

The decree of Khula is obtained from Family Court under the provisions of section 2 of Dissolution of Muslim Marriages Act, 1939. At the end of that section its written that a decree of Khula becomes final after six months of decree...

Another thing is that according to many scholars Khula is treated as single talaq. It means that the wife has to complete three tuhrs once she obtain Khula.. Each Tuhr consists of one month time period. It means that the wife has to complete 90 days after obtaining Khula for making it effective as per Islamic Law..

When it comes to Pakistani Law, it is mandatory to obtain Certificate of Talaq from the Arbitration/Union council according to section 7 of Muslim Family Law Ordinance, 1961. For that it is mandatory to file the process of obtaining certificate of talaq after decree of khula is obtained. For more feel free to contact internationallawyerinfo@gmail.com
